Amy Burhoe Designs is the husband and wife team of Wes and Amy. From their studio in Providence Rhode Island they produce one-of-a-kind fused glass items which explode with color and are truly unique.

A New Jersey native, Amy is the designer and artist with the obviouse passion for color. Much of her inspiration comes from things like nature, vintage fabrics, music, art, friends, and family. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her girls Kaya & Macie, learning to sew, and watching the food network. She is constantly improving her techniques and expanding the products lines.

Wes, a New Hampshire native, handles the web design, accounting, and business back end. Having graduated college with a degree in IT he is the guy usually found working on the website and figuring out ways to crash the site! In his free time he loves to practice (struggle with!) photography, keep up on the latest tech news, and pretty much be the techie he is!

It's really pretty straight forward. Layers of glass are melted together using a kiln which is a specialized type of oven. Many techniques can be used to alter the glass and the process can last anywhere from 6 to 24 hours! At the peak temperature (usually around 1475 degrees!) the glass is molten red.
